This is a national program which provides an opportunity for international students to match with kids from (mostly countryside) schools. It was founded by Professor Jiun-Huei Proty Wu in 2015 and has been sponsored by the Ministry of Education since. Its contents include weekly Skyping (40 min) and fully-sponsored school trips for meetups with the kids. At least two official certificates, one by Ministry of Education and the other by NTU, will be issued to recognise the companions' contribution. You may join the program by simply volunteering or by taking one of the courses.
本全國計畫旨在透過中小學學生與國內大專外籍生的互動，以增進中小學生學習外語及外國文化的動機，拓展國際視野，並讓外籍生深入了解台灣的在地文化，深植國民外交的實力。本計畫由國立臺灣大學吳俊輝教授於 2015 年創立並由教育部補助至今，主要的交流方式為每週視訊 (40分鐘)，並結合大學的服務學習課程、學生社團、及海外姊妹校的服務學習課程，讓每位外籍生都搭配一位本地生負責翻譯、協調及溝通，以和所配對的中小學進行三角式的交流。本計畫以學期為單位進行實施，每學期有至少一次的相見歡，強調人性溫度的重要性。所有參與服務的外籍及本地學生都頒授至少兩份服務證書，一份由教育部發給，另一份由國立臺灣大學ICL發給。
